About This Program:
Your children will learn about many aspects of gardening from simply planting flowers and vegetables, to building and planning a full garden. Students will harvest organic vegetables, recycle materials, and compost. This hands-on creative process helps students build confidence and self-esteem, as they can literally see the fruits of their labor. Gardening instills awareness of physical health by examining the quality and nutritional value of the food we eat, while also promoting respect for nature and the environment. Please have your child wear comfortable clothing and waterproof shoes. They might get dirty.
The class takes place in the garden located near the staff lounge or indoor if raining.
